Knitting Needle Inventory Card

This is how I currently store my knitting needles:

Yikes! When Chris and I moved into the house last spring, I had an excuse for this kind of disorganization. Recently, however, I've been feeling that maybe I should be more organized, or at the very least give organization a try. As you can guess by the photograph, I have a hard time keeping track of the knitting needles I own between this mess of a drawer and the various knitting project bags I have strung throughout the house. The first step toward organization was building a knitting needle inventory. I didn't find a knitting needle inventory card I liked that I could carry with me, so I chose to create one on my own.

Here's what I came up with (card front on left, card back on right):

I know that I can't be the only knitter with a mess of needles, so I thought I would make this card available as a download for you to print and use too! Let's take a look at the back up-close:

From left to right the symbols are: double-pointed needles, shorter straight needles, longer straight needles, shorter circular needles, longer circular needs, and finally crochet hooks. You can download the card here
